Unique birthday gift for someone far away

As restrictions lift and the warmer Spring weather sets in, we have lots to look forward to over the next few months; not least being able to catch up with loved ones who we've not been able to see for so long! But last month a customer approached us and asked if we could prepare a birthday gift with a difference - a cover of Mariah Carey's song 'Hero', for a loved one that they sadly couldn't see over her birthday. So our vocalist recorded this version which was played aloud to the bubble of family, whilst the rest of the family joined in by video call, to see her reaction. Safe to say, there were tears!

Extra! Extra! Read all about it!

Today we were delighted to discover we've been featured in the business section of the Portsmouth News. The article talks about the strife of entertainment agencies in 2020, versus the optimism we have for 2021 events now that government restrictions are lifting. Read the full story here.

'I’m quoting for a lot of shopping centres and retail businesses wanting to mark their reopening, hotel events that are being planned for the second half of 2021, and loads of private summer parties in gardens,’ said Abi.

'I’m feeling hope and pride. Pride for the work I have done, the personal strength I’ve found and the fact that Daze Entertainment is still here, providing opportunities to hugely talented artists who, through no fault of their own, have really suffered over the past year.'

So get in touch today to discuss how our Reopening Package can kickstart your business.

Planning event entertainment in 2021

You might have noticed we have a new video on our homepage!

Our previous showreel was ace - it was filmed at a 007 themed corporate event in Portsmouth - but it showcased lots of close-up acts in a dark, indoor setting which is everything we don't expect to happen right away in 2021. When things start opening up again, people are likely to want to enjoy outdoor space and socially-distanced performances, at more intimate events which will be small but mighty.

So it was out with the old and in with the new....which in fact is a collection of snippets from live events we performed pre-Covid, and virtual events we've performed during lockdown. Since we have no live events to film at right now, you'll have to settle for a slightly lower resolution video than you've come to expect from us. But in these webcam times we feel that our customers are much more forgiving of the odd pixel out of place!

For now we're tinkering away at the website, collating a brochure of virtual entertainment, and readying our package of socially-distanced performers ahead of Bojo's next announcement. Watch this space!
