Find out what we've been doing!

Nigeria was 'lit'

It's no secret that we have a bit of a love affair with West Africa. Our fire dancing troupe 'The Carbonettes' spent 4 months entertaining at a plush nightlife venue in Accra in Ghana over the winter season, and fell in love with the kind people and rich culture. So when we were invited to relaunch a club in Nigeria, how could we say no?

The client loved the extreme look of our tattoo'd and pierced performer Fran, and the freckled afro-haired beauty of our mixed race performer Yasmin. Both ladies have performed all over the world so they were perfectly placed for a whirlwind paycation to Lagos.

There was torrential rain throughout the entire job which meant unexpected tarpaulin over the stage, a soggy terrace, and much smaller flamed shows than we'd hoped to perform but the ladies made it work whilst still keeping Health & Safety in mind at all times. What an amazing venue Quilox is and credit to the organisers for treating our ladies like princesses. Just make sure the sun shines for us next time please, okay? We have plenty of rain here in the UK, thanks!

Inspire. Motivate. Entertain.

Hands up if you've been to a conference or business meeting and it's been a total yawn-fest? *raises hand* Yes, us too. Is there anything worse than a motivational talk that's, well, boring? Aren't these presentations supposed to inspire us?

Well we believe they are and that's why we've tried to think a little outside the box to deliver exciting corporate event entertainment, and inspiring talks which will stick in people's minds. So when we were invited to entertain at a luncheon at Chilworth Manor in Southampton recently, we brought along our incredible foot archer Orissa, who kicked the event off with a, well, with a bullseye! Check it out for yourself...

Despite the windy weather she didn't miss a trick, and she broke the ice perfectly for guests who went on to network with plenty to talk about!

A week or so later our Director Abi left a lasting impression when she was asked to present about good networking techniques at a summer breakfast event for The Boardroom Network at The Italian Villa in Poole. Using posture and eye contact tips taken from the Burlesque course she teaches, she had 3 willing volunteers donning fascinators and feather fans, and demonstrating how to shimmy, to the amusement of diners. Check out the giggling here.

Murder on the fort!

Our clients often complain that it's tricky to find a murder mystery experience that isn't 'cheesy' or 'old fashioned' despite how pricey murder mystery packages can be.  And we happen to know that many of the actors supplied for these murder mystery experiences, are volunteers or working for expenses only, and as proud members of Equity performers union we simply don't think that's good enough. Especially if you're paying top dollar for a professional murder mystery product.

So when we were approached to create a murder mystery experience for a group of diners at Spitbank Fort in the Solent, we couldn't wait to get stuck in casting actors, writing a bespoke script that suited the audience and the amazing venue, and of course paying our actors for their rehearsals and performance.  We used a mix of male and female actors - some professional and some amateur dramatics - and the feedback was sensational.

"it went down so well! The story was great and and cast were amazing! Was a great twist on a formal dinner"

Here are a few clips that we caught on a discreetly located Go Pro, as well as some clips from one of the guests' social media uploads. The partygoers were brilliant sports and the Forts were, as ever, sensational hosts.
