Summer Fun in Chiswick

16 August 2016

Summer is finally here – hurrah! And long may that sunshine continue, as we’ve had a jam-packed calendar of events so far this season. One of our highlights was a family fun day in Chiswick, which was months in the making. But it was all worth it in the end as thousands descended on Chiswick House and Grounds to enjoy a day with Peppa Pig and Paw Patrol.

Spiderman, Batman, Elsa, Anna, and our animatronic dinosaur Rex roamed amongst the guests, offering hugs and photo opportunities throughout the day. And our stilt-walking Princess Belle and Princess Ariel were a hit with all the family.

Our two face painters had a queue as long as your arm all day, offering traditional and glitter designs. It’s no surprise that comic and Frozen artwork is still hugely popular.

Our awesome Samba drumming band got everyone’s hips wiggling, and even-handed drumsticks out to children so that they could get involved in the music. And of course, our striking Rio girls encouraged Mums, Dads, and children alike to shake and shimmy, both around the grounds and on stage. Vanessa Feltz was in attendance with her family, and commented, “gosh, don’t you girls look lovely“!

Our compere Abi kept things ship-shape on stage, leading the ‘dinosaur dance’ that got children two-stepping and twirling around, in return for lollipops of course. And Spiderman left a lasting impression with a hand balance show that saw him bending, splitting, and posing upside down like he was the genuine article.

Big cat girls manned the craft area throughout the day and led storytelling sessions where they shared tales of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. The children were a credit to their families, and all our staff had a smashing day.
